We study an essential DNA-repair mechanism called homologous recombination and how this process is modulated and
regulated during
meiosis to facilitate the pairing and segregation of homologous chromosomes. Errors in meiosis are a leading
cause of pregnancy miscarriage and congenital disease. Our major areas of research are:
